Youth for Christ is always actively pursuing relationships with local churches with the hopes that as students come to faith in Jesus Christ at one of our events or outreaches, that we will have churches interested in young people, that we can encourage them to go to and get involved with.

Our chapter is a part of Allies, a network of local churches in the Pocono & Slate Belt areas. Allies seeks to plan large events for area churches to connect including: the See You at the Pole Rally in September, Super Bowl Party in February, and JV Winter Retreat in January.

In November 2006, we worked together with Slate Belt area churches to host The Seven Project in Bangor and Pen Argyl. Through our partnerships, we have been able to maintain an informal junior high program and offer our assistance to the local church in a variety of ways including pulpit supply, ministry evaluation and encouragement and other support services.

Youth for Christ encourages the local church to partner with us to offer unique, large group activities for their youth group and we encourage the lay, volunteer youth worker to take advantage of the conferences and programs we have as they plan their ministry calendars. We have a school bus and additional volunteers that we can use to support smaller churches or volunteer youth leaders in their ministries.

The support and proactive involvement of all of the area churches is so important to the job and the joys of our mission! We need you!
